What wax do you use? 

Our candles are made from 100% natural coconut soy wax blend.

Why should I trim my candle wick?

Always trim a new candle wick ¼" ( 5mm). If you do not cut the wick before the first lighting, The flame will be large, and emit soot. Candles will burn up to 25% longer if you trim the wick every couple of hours.

Why is my candle leaving wax on the sides of the container as it burns?

"Tunneling", or wax not being burnt to the edge, may occur if the candle is lit and then extinguished before the pool of melted wax is formed. Generally a minimum of 3-4 hours, to ensure that a sufficient wax pool is created.

Once I have finished burning a candle, how do I get the remaining wax out of the candle holder?

You can place your glass into the freezer. This will usually shrink the wax away from the class so you can just pop it out. If the wax is stuck, let it warm to room temperature. Never use a knife or sharp object to scrape the glass surface.  A spoon may be used to pry the wicks off the bottom of the jar.

Yes!  If you are local we are happy for you to pick up your order.  Please message us at info@illumin8scents to organize a time and get the address. We are located in Redland Bay Qld.

How much is shipping? 

Shipping is calculated at the checkout by weight.

How long will it take to receive my order? 

Your candle is made to order once we receive your request.  Please allow up to 5 days before your candle is picked up to be posted to you.  Depending on your location the postage can take from 2-8 days.
